MATT DALTON WINS A DIFFICULT FIRST SPRING
The First Spring was in a mean mood today. The usual "pod" caught waggler fish failed to materialise and this left many scratching for a handful of tiny skimmers. Winner on the day was Matt Dalton who utilised the end peg 14 for a good 30lb weight on a hard day (included 20lb skimmers). Opposite end and second place went to David Lythall caught 27lb from end peg 26. Steve Dixon used his end peg 2 well to take third place with just a paltry 16lb weight.
JAMES HALL WINS ON LILY POND
A mean and moody Lodge Farm Lily pond got 2025 running. The usual hot zone of peg 70 (and around it) seemed to be the place to be? Pete Ellis had a great start on the usual waggler, but this soon fizzled out leaving James Hall to take the honours with 26lb 2oz next door peg 71. Opposite bank and Russ Barker had a late arrival on the same method to register 2nd place with 20lb. Yours Truly took third with 18lb odd of the same. Elsewhere it was a scratch-a-thon for small roach odd skimmer.
